Embracing Diversity: our Differences, our Strengths

There is significant evidence about the benefits of diversity in the workplace. The key to harnessing those benefits is creating an inclusive environment so that all people can contribute and thrive, with their differences in ethnicity, racial groups, religious beliefs, genders, sexuality and ages.

This workshop explores what it means to contribute as part of a diverse and inclusive team. It will assist participants to identify and understand their own reactions to difference and how to healthily engage with, and effectively manage miscommunication or interpersonal conflict.

In this session we will explore:
  • The benefits of workplace diversity and inclusion
  • Identifying own bias and assumptions about difference
  • Understanding self – the brain and the body
  • Actions and behaviour that contribute to creating inclusive workplaces
  • Managing miscommunication and interpersonal conflict
