Developing a Growth Mindset

This workshop explores psychological researcher Carol Dweck’s investigations into growing or changing our own set minds (mindset), or the way that we approach life’s challenges.

We have two mental approaches when considering problems that may be slightly too hard for us to solve – fixed or growth approaches. A fixed approach tends to be inflexible, black and white in thinking and influenced by fear of failure. Growth mindset is the idea that we can expand our brain’s capacity to creatively solve problems and develop the ability to turn failure into a learning challenge. This workshop explores how we may grow or change our mindset from fixed to growth.

In this session we will explore:
  • The fixed mindset
  • The growth mindset
  • Simple strategies for developing a growth mindset
  • Applying a growth mindset to all areas of your life
